“Blue Moon” -kappaleesta on tehty lukemattomia versioita, tässä yksi varhaisimmista: BBC Dance Orchestra johtajanaan Henry Hall.vuonna 1935. Hienon sovituksen on tehnyt orkesterin pianisti Bert Reed. Hunajaisesta vokaaliosuudesta vastaa Dan Donovan.
Richard Rodgersin sävelmästä “Blue Moon” tehtiin kaksi julkaisematonta versiota nimillä “Prayer” ja “I’t Just That Kind of Play”. Kappale julkaistiin ensimmäisen kerran nimellä “The Bad In Every Man” vuonna 1934, ilman mainittavaa menestystä. Levy-yhtiön johtaja kuitenkin uskoi melodiaan ja pyysi Lorenz Hartia kirjoittamaa vielä yhden, romanttisemman sanoituksen. Syntyi “Blue Moon”, jonka sittemmin ovat levyttäneet mm. Elvis Presley, the Marcels, Mel Torme, Rod Stewart ja Eric Clapton ja Rauli Badding Somerjoki.
Lew Stone and his Monseigneur Band levyttivät tämän version” White Jazz”-kappaleesta Lontoossa vuonna 1933. Sovitus on melko tarkka kopio alkuperäisestä. Pasuunasoolon soittaa Lew Davis.
Duke Ellingtonin orkesterin vierailu Lontoossa 30-luvun alussa teki suuren vaikutuksen paikallisiin muusikoihin. Tämä Roy Foxin orkesterin kappale “Jungle Drums” sisältää suoran lainauksen Ellingtonin ” East St. Louis Doodle-oo” -kappaleesta.
Tästä kappaleesta tehtiin lukuisia versioita vuonna 1931, tässä esiintyy Stan Greeningin johtama Rhythmic Troubadours, laulaja on Leslie Holmes.

Vuonna 1934 swing teki tuloaan Atlantin molemmin puolin. Tässä levytyksessä Lew Stone and his Monseigneur Band esittävät tiukasti svengaavan version New Orleans Rhytm Kingsien jazzklassikosta “Milenberg Joys”. Sovituksen oli tehnyt David Rose.

Kappale on alunperin Georges Boulangerin säveltämä nimellä “Avant de Mourir” . Vuonna 1939 irlantilainen Jimmy Kennedy teki kappaleeseen sanat, samalla hän hieman virtaviivaisti melodiaa. Jo samana vuonna sen levyttivät Hyltonin lisäksi mm. Ambrose , Glenn Miller ja the Ink Spots. Kaikkein suurimman hitin kappaleesta teki myöhemmin the Platters. Olavi Virta levytti kappaleen suomeksi alkuperäisellä melodialla vuonna 1953 nimellä “Ennen Kuolemaa”.

Jack Hylton and his Orchestra levytysstudiossa vuonna 1931 äänittämässä kappaletta “Choo Choo”. Junabiisit olivat suosittuja 1930-luvulla.
