Jack Payne Orchestra vuonna 1934. Jack Paynen orkesteri oli yksi kuuluista brittiläisistä tanssiorkestereista 30-luvulla. Tässä kappaleessa orkesterin saksofonisektio pääsee vauhtiin.
Marion Harris levytti tämän version Singin’ the Blues -kappaleesta Lontoossa vuonna 1934. Tämä lienee yksi ensimmäisistä ns. vocalese-levytyksistä. Vocalese-tyylissä kirjoitetaan sanat alunperin improvisoituun instrumentaalisooloon. Tässä tapauksessa Harris laulaa sekä Bix Beiderbecken että Frankie Trumbauerin legendaariset soolot.

Jimmie Lunceford Orchestra oli yksi parhaista 30-luvun mustista orkestereista USA:ssa.
Useimmat orkesterin kappaleista olivat 2/4 -tahtilajissa. Tätä tyyliä kutsuttiin Lunceford two-beatiksi.
Orkesterin sovitukset olivat usein Sy Oliverin käsialaa. Saksofonisektion johtaja oli Willie Smith.
